A national awareness-raising day about self-employment at the University of El Oued
Under the supervision of the Director of the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, the Entrepreneurship Development Center at the University of El Oued organized today, May 7, 2024, a national day on “The Self-Employed Entrepreneur” in the large lecture hall, Abu Al-Qasim Saadallah, in the presence of the Vice-Director of the University, Dr. Muhammad Fouad Farhat, along with the Dean of the Faculty of Technology, the university family, and the participating guests.
The study day included several interventions.
First: Introduction to the self-employed entrepreneur in Algeria: The economic importance and benefits of the situation, presented by a representative of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises - remotely.
Second: A presentation of the self-employed contractor law according to the rules and conditions stipulated in Law No. 22-23 and Executive Decree No. 196-23, presented by Dr. Al-Ammarah Muhammad Youssef. Third: Social insurance for self-employed contractors and the benefits available from a CASNOS representative. Fourth: Tax obligations for self-employed contractors and how to comply with tax laws from a representative of the Tax Directorate.
This activity aims to inform and encourage individuals interested in self-employment, highlighting the new opportunities offered by the National Agency for Self-Employment (ANAE), including obtaining the self-employment card, and subsequent benefits such as the recovery card, reduced tax rate and other benefits such as a commercial bank account in national and foreign currency.
