El Oued University opens the first high-performance computing center at the national level

 
Today, February 21, 2024, the Director of the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, accompanied by the Vice-Directors for External Affairs and Foresight, the Secretary-General of the University, the Network Officer and the University’s executives, inaugurated the High-Performance Computing Center at the Systems and Networks Center at the University’s Central Library. The center is considered the first nationally in terms of equipment, features and the quality it provides, as it is distinguished by a group of high-performance systems and computers and technical features that have been linked to the high-performance HPC server.
The facility is interested in using high-performance computing to solve complex technical problems, using artificial intelligence, and developing parallel processing algorithms and systems.
The center is also interested in solving advanced problems and conducting studies and research activities through complex computer modeling and analysis, as well as training professors and doctoral students. The facility is equipped with all high-quality office equipment to provide comfort during work and all-in-one computers with the latest technical specifications, equipped with a modern, high-performance HPC server.
