The first Ramadan forum, the Algerian Qur’an in the month of the Qur’an, at the University of the Valley
Today, April 11, 2023, the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at the University of Shahid Hama Lakhdar and the Laboratory of the Contributions of Algerian Scholars to Enriching Islamic Sciences, in coordination with the Holy Qur’an Club, organized the first Ramadan Forum on “The Algerian Qur’an in the Month of the Qur’an” and under the supervision of the University Rector, Professor Omar Farhati. In the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Rahmani Ibrahim, Professors Kamal Qadda, Ali Khadra, Mukhtar Qadiri, and Boukhazna Hamza, and the participation of Sheikh Muhammad Al-Hassan Bousso via remote lecturing technology from the State of Senegal and the organizing committee of the forum, in addition to the presence of a group of professors, researchers, and students from various specializations, where the floor was given to Professor Boukhazna Hamza. The director of the laboratory welcomed the attendees, noting the importance of this distinguished activity in the blessed month. The head of the Ramadan Forum, Professor Ali Khadra, also gave a speech on the occasion in which he talked about the Book of God and its service, wishing success for this important scientific demonstration. Through it, the speech was transmitted to Professor Dr. Kamal Qadda in which he welcomed the Sheikh. The scholar Muhammad Al-Hassan Bousso from Senegal presented a brief overview of the forum’s guest, including his works, writings, and novels. He is a member of the International Council of Iqra Sheikhs.
Over the course of three days, the forum organizes scientific seminars and an exhibition of the Algerian manuscripts and printed Qur’an, in addition to the exhibition of publications and works on interpretation, and cultural competitions in the Holy Qur’an and its sciences.
The Ramadan demonstration aims to highlight the efforts of the Algerian state in serving the Holy Qur’an and to define the media of printed Qur’an in Algeria.
