Meeting of the Scientific Council of the University of El Oued
Today, 10-25-2023, the President of the Scientific Council of the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, supervised a meeting that included its members, the Vice-Presidents of the University, the Deans of the Faculties, the Director of the Central Library, and representatives of the professors.
At the beginning, the attendees stood for a minute of silence in memory of the late Professor Ismail Al-Aiss and the martyrs of Gaza.
The attendees of this meeting discussed a number of points and listened to some presentations given by the university’s vice-rectors for pedagogy, external relations, third-level training, and scientific research, as well as a presentation on classification and the university’s visibility given by Professor Tayr Zuhair.
The Deputy Director for Training in the Third Phase and Scientific Research also gave a presentation on the ongoing preparations for the second international multidisciplinary conference for doctoral students 2023, which will be held on December 11-12, and for which the theme was chosen: “The Artificial Intelligence Revolution - Challenges, Prospects and Ethics.”
During the meeting, the University President praised the efforts made by the university family to start the study on time, and mentioned the five new specializations for this year, which are medicine, veterinary medicine, translation, and two specializations in engineering. He also called on those with competencies to join the classification committee and the university’s visibility in order to improve publication and visibility at the national and international levels.
The meeting included discussions and suggestions that benefit the university’s pedagogical and scientific system.
