In 2013, Dubai announced its vision to become the capital of the Islamic economy. Islamic principles play a fundamental role in today’s global business environment, with the size of the Islamic economy reaching approximately $2.3 trillion with a Muslim population growing to 1.6 billion. In support of this vision, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry seeks, through one of its strategies, to promote and support the growth of the Islamic economy globally.
