The start of the 2022/2023 PhD competition exam at Al Wadi University
Today, February 4, 2023, the Director of the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar El Oued, Professor Dr. Omar Farhati, supervised the launch of the 2022/2023 doctoral competition on its first day at the Faculty of Arts and Languages, the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, and the Faculty of Law and Political Science.
The University President was accompanied by the Director of the University of Algiers 2, Professor Dr. Said Boumaza, the Vice-Director of the University for Training in the Third Phase, Professor Boubaker Mansour, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Professor Mekki Al-Daraji.
And the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences for Postgraduate Studies, Professor Al-Azhar Daif, and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Languages, Dr. Nasser Dahda, and the Secretariat of the Examination Centers for the Faculties.
The tour of the University President and the accompanying delegation was distinguished by attending the envelope opening process and part of the question withdrawal process with the students taking the exams.
He also reviewed the conditions of the doctoral competition exam for the examinees, including those with high aspirations.
The University President confirmed that the examination process is taking place in excellent conditions from a logistical, pedagogical and psychological perspective, noting that this year’s doctoral examination was distinguished for the first time by the holding of two examinations: philosophy for the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences and language and English for the Faculty of Arts and Languages.
Adding that the second part of the doctoral exam will be next Saturday, February 11, 2023.
According to the Vice-Rector of the University in charge of training in the third phase and scientific research, the total number of candidates for the doctoral competition at the University of El Oued this year reached 8477 candidates distributed over 12 departments and 23 specializations, while the number of proposed positions reached 72 positions. The number of candidates for the competition in the Faculty of Arts and Languages is estimated at 749 candidates for the English Department with 3 specializations, and in the Faculty of Law and Political Science 2182 candidates in 03 distributed over 580 candidates in Business Law, 1106 candidates in Administrative Law, and 496 candidates in Real Estate Law.
As for the College of Social and Human Sciences, the number of candidates reached 1194 candidates, distributed among the specialization of philosophy with 386 candidates, the specialization of media and communication sciences with 808 candidates, and 3 specializations: audiovisual specialization with 255 candidates, print and electronic journalism specialization with 149 candidates, and mass communication and new media specialization with 404 candidates.
