Martyr_Hama_Lakhdar_Alwadi University celebrates Student’s Day with the participation of local authorities and the revolutionary family
Today, May 18, the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar celebrated the 67th anniversary of Student Day, in the presence of local and security authorities and the revolutionary family, led by the Governor of El Oued, to participate with the university family and students in their holiday.
In a special distinction for the university this year and to commemorate the memory, the University of El Oued built a memorial to the martyr leader Hama Lakhdar on this occasion, where the governor of the state and the director of the university, accompanied by the revolutionary family, local and security authorities and university students, laid a wreath of flowers on the memorial and recited the opening chapter of the book in memory of the souls of the martyrs. Afterwards, the governor and the accompanying delegation toured the various and valuable exhibitions in their various research and technological aspects, which reflect the distinction of the University of Martyr Hama Lakhdar - El Oued - and its obtaining the first place nationally in patents.
In the Grand Lecture Hall of Abu Al-Qasim Saadallah, the Student Day activities were inaugurated with a speech by the University Director, Professor Omar Farhati, who welcomed the attendees and praised in his speech the role of yesterday's students who left their school benches to join the liberation revolution. In his speech, the Director called on the students to strive and persevere to obtain knowledge and science, to convey to our students and attendees the greetings of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Kamal Baddari, and the ministry's efforts in its path towards dynamism and reform goals such as technology, the English language and training... The University Director also extended special thanks to the governor of the state, the revolutionary family, and the civil and military authorities in light of all the challenges to preserve our beloved country, Algeria. He thanked all contributors for their continuous support to the university to advance it to the global level. He also stressed the need for the student's permanent effectiveness and challenge in the interest of serving the country and its economic and social development. The Director also congratulated the international students on this occasion, especially the Mauritanian student, Mohamedou Ould Hamer, who discussed his doctorate in the past few days, wishing him success.
In conclusion, the Director called on our students to be proud of their revolution, from which the world has drawn inspiration for its noble values, and to persevere in knowledge and science and redouble efforts to win the bet. Glory and immortality to our righteous martyrs.
For his part, the Secretary General of the Mujahideen Organization, Bashir Abbadi, stressed, on behalf of the revolutionary family, the importance of the November 54 generation meeting on this auspicious day with its sons from the independence generation, who are the students and men of science and culture, pointing out that yesterday’s student recorded his history in letters of light by joining the revolution on May 19, 1956, leaving his school desks and joining the armed struggle.
On this occasion, the Mujahid Professor Miraj Jadidi, who participated in the university and students’ celebration of their holiday, gave a speech in which he touched on the importance of this day and how the students abandoned their school desks and joined the revolution to write with their blood the letters of the words of freedom and independence.
The ceremony also witnessed the screening of a video of the students of the glorious liberation revolution, and the ceremony included chanting performances by the Al-Anwar Artistic Band of university students who were creative and distinguished.
Then, the University Director and his deputies gave the starting signal for the new website for the five-star students, whose distinction was demonstrated by the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar, as it was the first university to grant a five-star certificate to its students.
At the conclusion of the celebration, many female and male students who won various internal and external competitions held at the colleges, university services, and the Kairouan Festival in Tunisia, as well as competitions in the Holy Quran, chanting, praise, law, theater, poetry, drawing, and sports, were honored.
