Valley University signs twinning memorandums with six Arab universities
Today, October 17, 2023, the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), Department of Science and Scientific Research, held a forum for the twinning of Arab universities.
In the presence of delegations from 37 Arab universities, among the university presidents and their deputies in the State of Tunisia, where the delegation of the University of the Valley was headed by the University’s Deputy Rector for Pedagogy, Professor Bashir Manai, accompanied by Professor Radwan Chafo.
The Vice Chancellor of the University gave a presentation on the achievements of El Oued University in various research and scientific fields from its founding to the present day.
After discussions of the twinning memorandums between the universities, Professor Bashir Manai, on behalf of the University Rector, signed cooperation and twinning agreements between the University of the Valley and six Arab universities: Science and Technology in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, the University of Islamic Sciences in Al-Ayoun in Mauritania, the University of Science and Technology in Somalia in attendance, Qatar University, the University of Science in the Sultanate of Oman and King Saud University. With the University of the Valley, three Algerian universities participated in the first ALECSO forum for twinning between Arab universities: Constantine 1, Oran and the University of Medea.
The signing protocol and the twinning agreement between universities were attended by a diplomatic representation of Arab universities and a representative of the Algerian embassy, who had a meeting on the sidelines of the conference in which the Algerian delegation discussed the importance of twinning between universities and its role in cognitive, research and cultural advancement in all areas of scientific and research life.
