Evaluation meeting for various priority projects at Wadi University
Today, May 30, 2023, Mr. Director of the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, held a coordination meeting in the Abu Al-Qasim Saadallah Grand Lecture Hall, accompanied by the Vice-Directors and the Secretary-General of the University, in the presence of the Deans of the Faculties, the Director of the Intensive Language Center, the Vice-Deans for Studies and Scientific Research, the Heads of Departments, the Secretaries-General of the Faculties, the Heads of Fields, Sections and Specializations, the Professors, the Heads of Projects and the Training Committees.
The Director opened the evaluation meeting, welcoming all attendees and thanking them for their continuous and distinguished work to advance our university in all fields and areas, explaining the role and importance of the committees appointed at the local level in all relevant fields, calling for adherence to the schedule and deadlines set for completing all projects. The Director indicated to the designated committees to submit their presentations on the progress of the projects and to highlight all the relevant data.
- The first committee: The local committee for establishing distance education, headed by Dr. Jalab Muhammad Al-Salih and supervised by the university’s vice president for scientific research, Professor Boubaker Mansour. The committee chairman gave a comprehensive overview of the training program for professor trainers and its tasks, while providing all suggestions and comments.
- The second committee: The English Language Use Committee, under the supervision of the Vice President of the University for Pedagogy, Professor Manai Bashir, and chaired by Professor Dahda Nasr with Dr. Mustafa Amar. This committee played a major role in training English language teachers. Professor Dahda pointed out the completion of the first-level training in the colleges, with suggestions and comments. There was also an intervention by Dr. Ammar Mustafa about the process of training the English language to achieve the desired goal, which is teaching the English language in the first semester of next year.
- The third committee: The digitization committee under the supervision of the university’s vice president for external relations, Professor Qaddah Al-Habib, who gave a detailed presentation on the digitization process according to a plan and program that is relied upon in this participatory process. He also referred to the projects within this plan and the rate of their progress within the university institution.
- The Fourth Committee: The Startup and Innovation Committee, headed by the Director of the Business Incubator, Dr. Mohamed Fouad Farhat, gave a presentation on discussing graduation theses for a start-up project and how they are carried out according to a pre-program at the department level, and included a statistical presentation of start-up projects. Professor Mufid Abdel-Lawi, Director of the Entrepreneurship House, also spoke about the scope and benefit of training courses.
- The Fifth Committee: The Visibility and University Classification Committee, under the supervision of Dr. Tayr Zuhair, Dr. Awad Abdul Qader, Professor Ammar Al-Zoubi, and a group of professors. Professor Zuhair Tayr gave a comprehensive summary presentation on THE classifications and the standards for Web Amtrix, and pointed out the various standards, classifications, and conditions that work to improve the university’s visibility and classification.
Dr. Bin Al Sagheer also discussed the adoption of the classification in the Ometrix portal, which depends on the effectiveness and mobility of the site.
- The Sixth Committee: Study in Algeria, headed by Dr. Mahmoud Abdelkader, is a committee for international students studying in Algeria according to indicators available at the university. To obtain the label for studying in Algeria, special criteria are required.
The Vice-Rector of the University, Professor Boubaker Mansour, gave a brief presentation of the national sessions of the higher education sector, where he presented a plan and a work schedule, indicating the selection of workshop coordinators and the collection of reports from all faculties.
The University President opened the door for discussion for the attendees to raise concerns and address problems, addressing a word of thanks and gratitude to all the actors and all those working in the committees and projects with the aim of promoting knowledge and scientific research for the benefit of our students and our university family.
