The Director of Al Wadi University honors the members of the Pedagogical Committee for Teaching Arabic to Uzbek Students
Today, November 30, 2023, Professor Omar Farhati, Director of the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar, supervised a ceremony honoring the members of the pedagogical staff for teaching the Arabic language and its sciences to non-native speakers, represented by international students from the Republic of Uzbekistan at the Faculty of Arts and Languages; This was after the University of El Oued obtained first place nationally in the “Study in Algeria” tag for international students.
The ceremony was attended by the Vice-Director for Pedagogy, Professor Bashir Manai, the representative of the Director of University Services, Mr. Ali Bin Khalifa, the Dean of the College, Professor Dalal Washan, her Vice-Dean for Studies, Dr. Dahda Nasr, and the heads of the departments of the college, respectively, the Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, Dr. Misbahi Abdul Aziz, the Head of the Department of French Language, Dr. Ghuli Muhammad Al-Amin, the Head of the Department of English Language, Dr. Sahrawi Belqassim, the Head of the Department of Translation, Dr. Tariq Saeed, and members of the Pedagogical Committee for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, in addition to the attendance of the Uzbek students.
The Dean of the College thanked the University Rector for honoring the College, attending the honoring ceremony, and for his unlimited support for upgrading the College and the educational program project for international students. She also praised the efforts of the members of the Pedagogical Committee for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers in making the educational process for Uzbek students a success, who have achieved an outstanding level in the Arabic language that has satisfied the Minister and the university family. On behalf of the college family, she also congratulated the University Rector on El Oued University’s first place nationally in the “Study in Algeria” tag for the international students program.
The University Rector addressed the audience and congratulated the Dean of the College and its staff, especially the members of the Pedagogical Committee for Teaching Arabic to International Students, on their noble mission in teaching Arabic to Uzbek students in a systematic and professional manner that made them a pioneering model for other international students who will be received by our university in the coming days. The University Rector also spoke about the importance of the Arabic language as the language of the Holy Quran and the university of Islamic civilization and culture that links Algeria, the Republic of Uzbekistan and other Islamic countries, recalling the great Uzbek scholars such as Imam Al-Bukhari, after whom the city of Bukhara in this republic is named, and other great scholars. He stressed that an invitation was extended to staff from other Uzbek universities to visit our university to conclude agreements and strengthen scientific, pedagogical and cultural ties with the University of El Oued.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Pedagogical Committee for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, Dr. Hamza Hamada, thanked the University Director and the accompanying staff for their interest and gesture of honor. Some Uzbek students also took the floor and expressed their thanks and gratitude to the University Director, the Director of University Services and its staff, the Dean of the College and its staff, especially their professors, for the care, attention and great effort they are making to teach them the Arabic language and its sciences, and also for outlining a cultural and entertainment program for their benefit through which they get to know the people, culture and history of the region and its surroundings.
