Tasks of the General Secretariat

The General Secretariat shall undertake the following:

 Ensuring the management of the professional path of university employees while respecting the powers of the college and the institute in this fieldPreparing the university’s draft budget and following up on its implementation Ensuring follow-up funding for laboratory and research unit activities Ensuring the good conduct of the common interests of the universityDeveloping and promoting cultural and sporting activities programs for the university Ensuring the follow-up and coordination of the university’s internal security plans in coordination with the Ministerial Office for Internal SecurityEnsuring the management and preservation of archives and documentation for the university directorateEnsuring the organization and management of the university office

The General Secretariat, to which the Organization Office and the Internal Security Office are attached, includes the following sub-directories:

Center presentation
The center consists of three departments:

Systems Department, Networks Department, Tele-education and Distance Education Department

1- Systems Interest/  

- Continuous development and updating of the university’s website.

 - Providing professional email service for professors, students and administrators.

- Developing and monitoring software for management and pedagogy.

- Follow-up and periodic maintenance of the various servers in the center.

2 - Network Interest/

- Linking pedagogical structures to each other via the Internet to enable the university family to benefit from an integrated information system.
 - Operating, managing and organizing the network infrastructure, ensuring the security of information systems and networks, and developing various security strategies.
 - Ensure the development and expansion of the internal wired and wireless network.
 - Providing technical assistance in case of problems that lead to network connection interruption and resetting network resources.
 - Providing a network infrastructure for various IT applications and software, whether for management or pedagogy, such as university registrations via the Internet.
 - Ensuring compliance with the charter for the proper use of the Algerian research network.

3- Televised and Distance Education Service

- Management and follow-up of the distance learning platform

- Follow up on televised education.

- Training and supervision of those involved in distance education.
