The director of El Oued University meets with representatives of student organizations
Today, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, the Director of the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, held a meeting with representatives of student organizations in the meeting hall of the central administration. This periodic meeting, which is part of strengthening dialogue with the social partner, was attended by the Director of University Services, Mr. Jamal Quraisha, and the Vice-Directors of the University for Pedagogy and Scientific Research, External Relations, Development and Foresight, the Secretary-General of the University, the Sub-Director of Activities, and the Head of the Monitoring and Coordination Department of Services. As for the student organizations, the student representatives attended.

The University President opened the meeting with a welcoming speech to the representatives of student organizations and the attendees, in which he praised the sense of responsibility and the positive role of student organizations and behind them the students of the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar for their positive contribution to serving the university and its students. The President and his deputies also gave presentations covering the pedagogical aspect, where Professor Bashir Manai gave a presentation on the latest developments and related matters from student registrations and transfer movement. In the field of research and science, the President, accompanied by his Deputy for Training and Scientific Research, Professor Farhat Rahouma, addressed the preparations related to doctoral projects. The Deputy Director for External Relations, Professor Mohamed Fouad Farhat, also gave a presentation on student mobility, scientific internships, the university’s achievements and the role of students in it. The President pointed out that more than 2,000 transfer requests were accepted and they are continuing their studies, which is further evidence of the scientific and research work carried out by the university family, harnessing all capabilities to serve our students.
The Director also touched on what distinguished this year, which is our university’s entry into the fourth generation and the fourth generation halls it provided for its students, which is a source of pride for our university.
The Vice President for Development and Foresight, Professor Zaabi Ammar, also provided a number of clarifications about the completed projects and others under construction. The representatives of the student organizations listened to many answers from the Secretary General of the University, Dr. Shawqi Mudallal, regarding the organizational aspect and the concerns of the student representatives. He pointed out that an approved list had been prepared by the student organizations and an annual work program had been prepared, and that consultative meetings had been scheduled on a permanent basis, pledging to provide all support and means for that.
The Sub-Director of Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities, Mr. Ezz El-Din Ghabash, presented the directorate’s proposals and achievements, and that it is in constant work and coordination with the organizations and represents the university in all activities.
The Director also presented the latest news about the university benefiting from 15 new buses that will soon enter service and enable the university residences to be rehabilitated, extending his thanks to the Governor of the State and the Director General of University Services. The Director of University Services, Mr. Jamal Quraisha, took the floor and welcomed the attendees, thanking the Director of the University, the Governor of the State and the Director General of Services for their efforts that enabled the university services to achieve several gains for our students, including the rehabilitating of the residences and the benefit of the park from 15 buses, to give a detailed presentation about the residential life of our students in its various vital areas.
The meeting also discussed a number of points presented by student organizations regarding the pedagogical, structural, administrative and service fields, such as food, transportation, accommodation, activities and club work.
The representatives of the student organizations received comprehensive answers to their concerns from the administrative and pedagogical staff, each in his own regard. The Director of University Services also provided clarifications on most of the concerns of the student organizations regarding university services.
After a lengthy discussion about what the student organizations put forward and the proposed solutions, the university director praised the cooperation and joint integration between all the university family to achieve the university's goals that serve the student who is the framework of the future, recalling the sacrifices of the martyrs of our glorious revolution and that the student should always be in the service of his nation and homeland. The university director added that on the seventieth anniversary of the outbreak of the greatest revolution in history and with the slogan "Glorious November, Loyalty and Renewal", Algeria is a trust that we live by in our lives with knowledge, valuable work and knowledge, thanking the representatives of the organizations for the spirit of cooperation, responsiveness and significant contribution to the success of the joint work and the advancement of the university.
In recognition of his efforts and continuous work in serving the university and its students, representatives of student organizations presented a special tribute to the Director of the University of Martyr Hama Lakhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, in a symbolic gesture that carries high meanings and values in a family that we are proud of, the family of the University of Martyr Hama Lakhdar.
