University of Wadi Al-Qadr visited by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
This morning, December 21, 2022, the University President, Professor Omar Farhati, received Inspector Kharchi Fatoum from the General Inspectorate of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The reception ceremony in the meeting hall of the central administration was attended by the Vice-Presidents of the University, the Head of the Business Incubator, Dr. Farhat Fouad, the Head of the Five-Star Certificate, Dr. Farag Abdel Hamid, and Dr. Dahda Nasr, Vice Dean for Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Languages.

This visit is part of the work program of the General Inspectorate of the Ministry in accompanying universities to implement Resolution No. 1275 of September 27, 2022 and promoting the English language. The discussion on the files scheduled on the agenda was opened by the Vice-Rector of the University in charge of External Relations, Professor Habib Kaddah, who welcomed the attendees and presented the first file related to the progress in implementing Resolution No. 1275 Start-ups. In this file, the Director of the Incubator presented the status of the incubator, the registration of students in start-up projects, and the awareness visits to colleges with the Director of the House of Entrepreneurship. He also raised some important points and shortcomings facing the incubator to be taken into consideration by the Ministry to address them.
As for the head of the “Five-Star Student” Certificate Committee, Dr. Faraj Abdel Hamid, he gave a presentation on the students’ interest in the subject and spoke about the privileges provided to outstanding students, including benefiting from the Hungarian State’s grants on condition that the student obtains a five-star certificate, proposing to the Ministry a special formula for the benefit of the category of people with high aspirations to obtain a five-star student certificate.
The second file in the meeting is related to enhancing the efforts to use the English language at the university. A follow-up committee was appointed, headed by Dr. Ammar Mostafawi, Director of the Intensive Language Center, who gave a speech about the Intensive Language Center and its goal of improving the level of the English language. He also spoke about the official launch of the English language training process for professors within the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and the directives of the Minister of the sector regarding enhancing the use of the English language. He confirmed that the process witnessed a wide response, as the number of those involved in the training process exceeded 300 professors, representing a quarter of the total number of university professors.
For his part, Dr. Dahda Nasr, in charge of the English language file, presented the approved training program, where there will be an adoption of the specialization approach according to the faculties within the training, in addition to an international program that falls within the unified European framework approved to improve the level of the English language. He also spoke about creating communication platforms between professors after the vacation and creating a special club for professors “English”. He also pointed out that English language professors always remain at your service and study any suggestions and projects in the field. At the conclusion of the meeting, which witnessed discussions and enrichment in the content of the aforementioned files, the university director thanked the general inspector of the ministry, Ms. Kharchi Fatoum, for the visit, and praised the great efforts made by the ministry.
