The Director of the University of the Valley meets with the President of the State University of International Languages in Tashkent
Mr. Director of the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar-El Oued, Professor Omar Farhati and the accompanying delegation held a working session with the President of the State University of World Languages in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, accompanied by his Deputy for International Relations, the Head of the Department of International Relations, the Dean of the Faculty of Translation and the Head of the Department of Arabic Language. This is within the framework of evaluating and activating the twinning agreement recently concluded between the two universities.
The President of the State University of World Languages gave a welcoming speech and thanked the University of El Oued for the distinguished training provided to Uzbek students within the framework of the pedagogical program approved by the Faculty of Arts and Languages at the University of El Oued, as well as the distinguished accommodation requirements prepared by the University Services Directorate in El Oued, which was expressed by all the Uzbek students who benefited from this pedagogical process at the University of El Oued.
The university director, Professor Omar Farhati, also made an intervention in which he highlighted the university’s scientific and pedagogical capabilities, which qualify it to activate scientific exchanges for the benefit of students and professors through a strategy highlighted by the new directions of the sector.
The Director also presented the most prominent digital transformations witnessed by the university through the modernization of the sector that the Ministry has initiated in various fields.
The two delegations had an extensive discussion on student and professor exchanges, as well as joint contributions to the publication of scientific articles, and studying the possibility of joint participation in the Erasmus+ programme.
The head of the Arabic Department also had a proposal for a joint diploma project in the Arabic language, the programme of which would be determined in consultation between the two parties and presented to the two ministries.
The meeting concluded with a visit to the various structures and facilities of the university, where the director and the accompanying delegation were provided with all the explanations about the methods, curricula, and pedagogical and scientific teaching capabilities at the State University of World Languages in Uzbekistan.
