Department tasks

The tasks of the interest are:
1. Announcing qualification and mastery courses.

2. Accompanying candidates to submit their files via the PROGRES platform.
3. Monitoring the extent to which the files of candidates for the qualification and master’s courses match.
4. Announcing the results of the qualification and master’s courses.

Administrative and academic acceptance requirements for promotion to the rank of professor of higher education

1- Administrative acceptance conditions for promotion to the rank of Professor of Higher Education:

 The candidate must prove professional seniority of five (5) years of actual service as a lecturer.

Section “A” on the closing date for submitting applications.

2- Minimum academic requirements for promotion to the rank of Professor of Higher Education:

The scientific acceptance of the application file is based on the candidate’s field of training after he has achieved one of the choices.

The following is suggested:

1.2 - For the fields of science and technology:

* Publishing one (01) article in a scientific journal classified as (A+) where the candidate must be the main author or in

Second place, or publishing one (01) article in a scientific journal classified as “A” and two (02) articles in a scientific journal.

Classified (B) where the candidate must be the main author or in second place.

* Supervision or joint supervision of one (01) doctoral thesis and its discussion or supervision of two (02) master’s theses.

And discussing them or framing four (04) master’s theses.

2.2 - For the fields of humanities and social sciences:

* Publishing one (01) article in a scientific journal classified as (A) where the candidate must be the main author or in

Second place or publishing one (01) article in a scientific journal classified as (B) and one (01) article in a scientific journal classified as (

(c) Where the candidate must be a lead author or second author or have published two (02) articles in a journal.

Classified scientific (C) where the candidate must be the main author.

* Supervision or joint supervision of one (01) doctoral thesis and its discussion or supervision of two (02) master’s theses.

And discussing them or framing four (04) master’s theses.

Conditions and components of the qualification file

Conditions for registration in university qualification:

Those wishing to apply for university qualification must meet the following conditions:

*A full year has passed since the date of discussing the doctoral thesis.

*To have the rank of Associate Professor, Section “B” or Research Professor, Section “B”.

*To be in an active position for at least three (3) years, consecutive or intermittent, in

One or more academic or research institutions.

*To submit the application file for university qualification in the department included in the doctorate degree obtained.

*The candidate must be the main author of at least one (01) article outside the thesis, submitted and published.

After discussing the doctoral thesis.

 

The nomination file of a professor researcher for university qualification includes the following:

 

*Written request addressed to the Chairman of the Regional Committee for University Qualification

*A copy of the confirmation decision in the rank.

* Recent work certificate.

*A copy of the university certificates obtained, including the baccalaureate certificate.

*A copy of the doctoral thesis.

*The sum of the pedagogical and scientific work completed during his university career.

*A CV explaining the stages of the candidate’s career path.

*Total non-doctoral research work completed after obtaining a doctorate degree.

*A summary of five (05) to ten (10) pages including all pedagogical work.

The scientific journal is written in the national language and in either English or French.

*A report on the educational, supervisory, experience and evaluation activities completed by the candidate during his/her career.

Professional.

*A report on the research activities completed by the candidate after obtaining a doctorate degree.
