The Psychological Assistance Center at the University of El Oued, in cooperation with the Imprint of Hope Club and the INSIDE Center, organizes a national scientific symposium on vocational integration into the labor market.
Today, May 9, 2024, the Psychological Assistance Center of the University of Martyr Hamou Lakhdar organized in the discussion hall of the Faculty of Social Sciences, in cooperation with the Basmat Amal Club and in coordination with the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences and the lNSlDE Center at the University of Blida 2 Ali Lounici, a two-day national scientific symposium, May 8/9, on a vision for professional integration into the labor market to reduce professional future anxiety among people with high aspirations (all categories).
In the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Dr. Ammar Ghraisa, the faculty staff, the Director of the Psychological Assistance Center, Dr. Ghrab Rahma, her deputy, Professor Qaisi Muhammad Al-Saeed, the Attorney General of the Civil Service, and the Attorney General of Vocational Training.
The representative of the INSIDE Center, Professor Al-Abzouzi Al-Rabi’i, from the University of Blida, and the accompanying delegation, the sub-director of professionals, Professor Moussaoui Hassina, and the professor at the Directorate of Vocational Training and the intervener Haddad Noura, the judicial expert in sign language affiliated with the General Directorate of National Security, who is contributing to the activities of translating the national scientific symposium into sign language, and a group of professors and students.
The Dean of the College of Social and Human Sciences opened the symposium, welcoming the attendees and guests of the university, thanking them for their attendance and participation in this scientific symposium, noting that its work began yesterday, where he talked about this category of people with disabilities, who should be viewed as capable and competent, and the students that our university is full of who are a model of effort, excellence and brilliance at all levels in academic activities and activities complementary to the pedagogical aspect. He also thanked the Psychological Assistance Center for the kind accompaniment and activities they undertake at the university level. The Director of the Psychological Assistance Center, Dr. Ghorab Rahma, and a representative of the Basmat Amal Club presented the program of yesterday's scientific symposium, which was opened with an exhibition where all the psychological tests available at the Psychological Assistance Center were displayed, which are specific to the category of people with disabilities, to help them raise their self-esteem and self-confidence. Some artistic panels were also displayed, which were explained by the center members to the students and members of the college. In addition to a training workshop in which Braille was taught to people with disabilities, which was supervised by the student Khamisti Ash’ab for the benefit of students of the Department of Psychology and Clinical Psychology. The symposium concluded with a sports activity for bell ball.
The Deputy Head of the Mental Health Center, Professor Mohamed Al-Saeed Qaisi, addressed the most important outcomes of this symposium and the partnership by concluding an agreement with scientific and academic dimensions between the University of Blida, represented by Professor Al-Abzouzi, and the University of El Oued through the Psychological Assistance Center.
In the speech of Professor Al-Abzouzi Al-Rabi’, representative of the Inside Center at the University of Blida, he thanked the honorable attendees and the University of El Oued for their hospitality. He expressed his gratitude for this scientific and pedagogical cooperation and the goals and points embodied by concluding a partnership agreement between Inside provided to this category of people with disabilities. An agreement was concluded between the Inside Center and the Psychological Assistance Center, hoping in the end to present the best image of the university. After that, the Director of the Mental Health Center, Dr. Ghrab Rahma, was honored for her efforts.
Then, the head of the Basmat Amal Club, student Khamisti Ash’ab, reviewed a group of achievements for this category. They are the pride of the university through the students who are living models who are owners of emerging projects, patent holders, five-star holders, and athlete card holders. In addition to supervising more than 30 activities during the season, including local, national and even international ones.
Pointing out the real concern of this category after university, and through it, several interventions were addressed in a research paper by the participants in the national scientific symposium, including university professors and researchers in the issues of people with disabilities from various specializations, and specialists and professionals working with the issues of people with disabilities; This is within the four (04) axes of this symposium:
The first axis: Training prospects for people with disabilities in various educational and vocational training institutions.
The second axis: Possibilities of reception in the labor market for people with disabilities.
The third axis: Formulating mechanisms for engaging people with disabilities in the labor market.
Fourth axis: Successful and realistic models that were able to enter the world of work.
The scientific symposium aims to build a practical and systematic vision on how to integrate people with disabilities into the labor market and alleviate the anxiety of people with disabilities about their professional future.
