Awareness Campaign by the National Gendarmerie for Students of the University of El Oued
On February 14, 2023, the National Gendarmerie, in coordination with the University of El Oued, organized an awareness campaign for the benefit of the university students. The campaign was held in the MediaTek hall of the university and was attended by the representative of the regional group of the National Gendarmerie in El Oued, the lieutenant colonel commander of the research platoon, accompanied by the group’s executives, and by the Secretary-General of the University on behalf of the Rector, Professor Omar Ferhati, Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Head of the Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities Department, a number of university executives and students, and the central media and communication cell.
The representative of the regional group of the National Gendarmerie gave a presentation and explanations to the audience on how to join the National Gendarmerie and how to create a membership file. He also introduced the Gendarmerie, its role, and its multiple tasks in ensuring public security, maintaining order, implementing laws and regulations, and protecting the country and its citizens.
The awareness campaign was met with a significant response from the students, who asked many questions and expressed their concerns. The questions and concerns were answered by the executives of the regional group.
This awareness campaign by the National Gendarmerie is part of a series of awareness campaigns that will be held at the level of all faculties of the University of El Oued.
