The first national initiative – A delegation of professors from the University of El Oued travels to Britain for training in the English language
In line with the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in promoting the use of English in teaching, the University of El Oued has taken the initiative to send a delegation of its professors to the United Kingdom for training in the English language as part of the Short-Term Mobility Program Abroad.
The delegation of professors from the University of El Oued was officially received at Regents University London in a welcome ceremony attended by the Vice rector of the British University, Dan Lanigan, Professor Elias Boukrami, Director of Global Management, and the Director of Regents School of English and all its administrative staff. The ceremony included speeches by the Director of the Institute, who confirmed that this was the first time that a delegation had been received for training in English from Algeria, and the Vice rector, who stressed the possibility of opening up opportunities for further cooperation in the field of training with the University of El Oued. Professor Hicham Gharbi also gave a speech on behalf of the professors of the University of El Oued, and Professor Elias Boukrami gave a speech on behalf of the Chargé d’Affaires at the Algerian Embassy in London.
This operation is the first of its kind nationally, and it is expected that a second group will be sent and expanded next year to include more professors and doctoral students.
