The University of El Oued held a ceremony to honor the staff of the Faculty of Letters and Languages for their outstanding success in organizing the 2023 PhD Competition.

On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, a ceremony was held to honor the staff of the Faculty of Letters and Languages at the University of El Oued for their outstanding success in organizing the 2023 PhD Competition in English.

The ceremony, held in the Faculty’s Discussion Hall, was attended by:

  • Professor Dalal Ouachen, Dean of the Faculty
  • Professor Bachir Mennai, Vice-rector of the University for Pedagogy
  • Professor Youcef Laïb, Vice-Dean in charge of Post-Graduation, Scientific Research, and External Relations
  • Mr. Nacer Dahda, Vice-Dean in charge of Studies and Student Affairs
  • Mr. Abdelmalek Khalaïfa, Secretary-General of the Faculty
  • Heads and Deputy Heads of the three departments
  • Chair of the PhD Training Committee in English Studies
  • All faculty staff members, security guards, maintenance workers, and cleaning staff

In her speech, Professor Dalal Ouachen, Dean of the Faculty, commended the efforts of all involved in the successful organization of the competition.

Professor Bachir Mennai, Vice-rector of the University for Pedagogy, took the opportunity to congratulate the faculty and staff members who dedicated their time and effort to the success of the event.

Dr. Youcef Laïb, Vice-Dean of the Faculty, also expressed his appreciation for the collective effort of all faculty members – professors, administrative staff, security guards, and cleaning and maintenance workers – in ensuring the smooth running of the competition.

Mr. Nacer Dahda, Vice-Dean for Studies, delivered a speech in which he thanked all contributors to the success of the competition, which had a significant local and national impact, as attested by the positive feedback from participating students from within and outside the province.

During the ceremony, staff members were honored and presented with certificates of appreciation. In the evening, Professor Ouechen, the Dean, hosted a separate ceremony to honor the cleaning and maintenance staff in her office, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Faculty. She expressed her gratitude for their dedication to the success of the competition and presented them with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding efforts.
