The University of El Oued organizes the Second International Conference on Materials, Energy, and Environment
The Department of Physics at the Faculty of Exact Sciences of the University of El Oued hosted the Second International Conference on “Materials, Energy and Environment” on October 23, 2023. The conference was led by prominent figures such as Professor Omar Ferhati, the University Rector; Professor Mohamed El Hadi Attia, General Director of the Conference; Professor Beggas Ezzedine, Chairman of the Scientific Committee; and Dr. Rachid Hamim, Chairman of the Organizing Committee. The opening session took place in the Grand Lecture Hall Abou El Kacem Saad Allah and was attended by university officials including Vice-Presidents and Deans from various faculties along with researchers and lecturers from both local institutions as well as international participants representing over seven countries like Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia, Slovakia India France, and Portugal.
This conference aims to address diverse topics related to materials technology including their characterization techniques using nanotechnology as well as addressing energy systems development specifically focused towards renewable energy while also delving into environmental issues such air pollution control, clean energy management, and climate change mitigation efforts.
The conference covered various subjects in workshops focusing on physics, mathematics, and other fields. It will run until tomorrow, October 24th, featuring workshops with professors, researchers, and PhD students discussing the three main themes of the conference: materials, energy, and environment. The goal is to address numerous challenges and provide scientific insights for students at the University of El Oued as well as researchers from different national universities.
