International Conference on Renewable Energy and Applications at the University of El Oued

The two-day International Conference on “Renewable Energy and Applications” kicked off today at the University of El Oued. The conference is organized by the Renewable Energy Research and Development Unit in coordination with the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Martyr Hamou Lkhder.
The event was inaugurated by the University President, Professor Omar Farhati, in the presence of the Vice-President for Scientific Research, Professor Boubaker Mansour, the Deans of the Faculties, the Conference Director, Dr. Loucif Khaled Mohamed El Tayeb, the members of the Scientific Committee headed by Dr. Aoun Yassin, the Organizing Committee headed by Dr. Hima Abdelkader, and the staff of the Faculties of Science and Technology, researchers, professors participating remotely from inside and outside the country, and students.
At the beginning of the proceedings, the audience stood in a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of Gaza and Palestine.
The conference was opened by the University President, who welcomed the attendees and thanked all those who contributed to this scientific event, including the Dean of the Faculty, the Conference Director, and the experienced professors in the field. He also praised the joint work of the research professors and the dynamism of the Renewable Energy Research and Development Unit located in the 18 February neighborhood, which has become a distinguished center for technology. He called for its development from a research unit to a research center, pointing out the presence of a group of distinguished experts. He also highlighted the importance of the scientific event and the world’s orientations towards renewable energy, wishing success for this scientific event.
For his part, the Conference Director gave a welcoming speech to the attendees and an overview of the conference and its objectives, thanking the University President and all those who contributed to the conference for their efforts.
According to the Conference Director, the program includes opening lectures and presentations in which researchers will present their findings. Around 12 oral presentations and 63 poster presentations have been scheduled.
The conference will address several topics related to renewable energy and its applications from natural sources such as solar energy, wind energy, and others, considering them as continuously renewable sources that are an important factor for their future use in homes, companies, and several fields.
This scientific event aims to bring together specialists in the field of renewable energy and its applications to exchange ideas, experiences, and scientific research findings. It also serves as an outlet for PhD students to improve their knowledge, interact with specialists, and establish strong research relationships. The conference will cover all sources of renewable energy and the materials used in their production and manufacturing, as well as the applications of renewable energy.
The event is expected to conclude with recommendations that will serve the stakeholders, including students and researchers.
