University of El Oued Rector meets with the National Union of Higher Education Teachers’ Union
On September 26, 2023, the Rector of the University of El Oued, Professor Omar Ferahti, met with the President and members of the Office and Council of the National Union of Higher Education Teachers’ Union of the University.
This meeting is part of the periodic meetings that the University Rector organizes with the social partners, at the start of the university year, on various issues of the university family that concern this union.
The meeting was attended by the Vice- Rectors of the University in charge of pedagogy, external relations, development and foresight, the Secretary General of the University and the Sub-Director of Cultural, Scientific and Sports Activities, and the Sub-Director of Users. From the side of the social partner, the meeting was attended by the President of the Union, Professor Abdelkrim Guediri, and the members Hamzah Slimani, Salim Daha, Mohamed Salah Zghadi, Salim Haj Saad , Mohamed Salah Messaï Aoun, Belkacem Owein, Yassine Latoufa, Nacer Dou, Ibrahim Lejdel, Mohamed Abdelhamid Nedioui and Leila Khenich.
After the University Rector gave an overview of the start of the university year, the University Rector and the participants discussed a number of important points that concern the social partner, including the file of settling the administrative and financial situation of professors, promotions, research projects, housing, the pedagogical and professional conditions of professors, participation in various committees, as well as the situation of laboratories and scientific and pedagogical equipment, doctoral studies, publications and journals, distribution of scales, university sports, new projects, English language training, putting the work certificate and salary on the employee’s website, and others.
At the end of the meeting, the President of the Union, Professor Abdelkrim Guediri, thanked the University Rector, his deputies and the administrative staff for their sense of responsibility and all the efforts they make. In return, the University Rector pointed out the need to give the opportunity to everyone who contributes to the improvement of the university, thanking the university family and all those who contribute to making the university at the top.
