University of El Oued Rector meets with the General Union of Algerian Workers’ Union
On September 26, 2023, the Rector of the University of El Oued, Professor Omar Ferahti, met with the President of the General Union of Algerian Workers’ Union, Hadjer Atatfa, accompanied by Ghmima El Aroussi, at the headquarters of the central administration.
The agenda of the meeting included several points of concern to the social partner, including the file of promotions, internal and external staff training and registrations, the concerns of cleaning workers, the catering file, the transport of workers and the cleaning aspect, among others.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rectors of the University in charge of development and foresight, pedagogy, Professor Bachir Menaï, the Secretary General of the University, the Sub-Director of Cultural, Scientific and Sports Activities and the Sub-Director of Users.
The participants discussed all the issues that concern the social partner. The University Rector stressed the importance of these periodic meetings that he holds with the social partner at the beginning of each university season. The Rector pledged to study all the concerns raised by the union and to take them into consideration and to find all the appropriate solutions, praising the role of the union members for their efforts. The union also praised the efforts of the University Rector and what he is doing to improve the university and its employees.
