The University of El Oued contributes to the International Symposium on Citizenship in Modern Islamic Thinking in Tunisia

Within the framework of activating scientific activity at the international level, the University of El Oued- participated in the international scientific symposium on citizenship in contemporary Islamic thought organized by the Center for Islamic Studies in Kairouan – University of Ez-Zitouna, Tunisia.

The symposium, which began on November 1st, witnessed a high-level international presence of a group of researchers and academics at the Arab and Islamic levels; to present a research report within axes that study the problems of citizenship and identity in light of the developments of the current social and human thought. Professor Ibrahim Rahmani presented his research paper entitled “Citizenship in Islamic Thought: Its Trends and Dimensions” and Dr. Raqiq Abdullah’s research paper was entitled “Citizenship and the Problems of Modernity”.

The activities of the symposium included a great deal of interaction and specialized scientific and research discussion on various axes in order to reach recommendations and proposals that enrich the research and cognitive aspect of citizenship in Islamic and human thought.
