University Rector gives the go-ahead for the start of classes at the Medical Annex and the Association of Competencies Abroad appreciates the achievement
On Sunday morning, September 24, 2023, the Rector of the University of El Oued, Professor Omar Ferahti, gave the go-ahead for the start of classes at the Medical Annex of the University of El Oued. The University Rector was accompanied on his tour of the annex by the Director of the Medical Annex, Professor Samir Darwish, the President of the Association of Competencies Abroad, Professor Yahya Mekki, and specialized medical professors Professor Mohamed Nacer Souid and Professor Mourad Oubira. The Vice-Rectors of the University for External Relations and Development and Foresight, the Secretary General of the University, the Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, the Deans of the Faculties and the University’s executives were also present.
After touring the facilities and laboratories of the Medical Annex, the University Rector and the medical professors gave an opening lecture. The Director of the Medical Annex opened the lecture by welcoming the attendees and thanking the University Rector for everything he has done and continues to do for the annex. The University Rector then took the floor and welcomed the medical students and the professors accompanying the training, stressing the importance of the seriousness of higher education, which is a challenge that the University of El Oued has taken on. He thanked the Association of Algerian Executives and Competencies Abroad who will accompany the students throughout their scientific training. The medical professors also praised this achievement in opening the Medical Annex at the University of El Oued, stressing that what they saw in terms of equipment in the laboratories and facilities is comparable to the largest universities in the world, if not better. They gave advice to the medical students on their training and their scientific life.
