The Rector of the University of El Oued signals the launch of a 500-megabyte internet bandwidth flow
On January 30, 2023, Professor Omar Ferhati, the Rector of the University of El Oued, accompanied by the Vice-Rectors responsible for development and foresight, Dr. Lassoud Abdelhalim, and the one in charge of external relations, Professor Qadha El-Habib, along with the University’s Secretary-General, Choukri Medalal, met with the head of networks and information communication systems, distance education, and tele-education, Mr. Samir Qadiri, and the head of the network department and the technical team at the same center at the Central Library headquarters.
The Rector of the University of El Oued signaled the launch of the enhanced 500-megabyte internet network provided by the Algerian Telecommunications Operator. On this occasion, the University Rector inspected various stages of the connection process and tested the internet bandwidth to the specified level. According to the head of the network department, Engineer Gaïd Hamza, the internet broadcast process has reached its new high-flow level, covering various facilities of the university including faculties, laboratories, and administrative departments, awaiting its deployment to the student space soon through the installation of Wi-Fi devices to strengthen the broadcast.
