In preparation for establishing a center for artificial intelligence in the agricultural field at the University of El Oued.
Today, January 30, 2023, Professor Omar Ferhati, the Rector of the University of El Oued, presided over the meeting dedicated to preparations for the scientific event on artificial intelligence and its applications in the agricultural field. The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rector of the University responsible for external relations, Professor Guedda Al-Habib, Vice-Rector responsible for development and foresight, Dr. Lassoud Abdelhalim, deans of faculties, a group of professors, the head of the computer science department, the head of the agricultural sciences department, and college secretaries-general.
The university Rector gave a detailed presentation on the preparations for the event and opened the floor for discussion for attendees to raise all concerns and suggestions.
During the meeting, the programming process was finalized, and committees were assigned as follows: Training Committee, Exhibition Committee, Management Committee, File Preparation Committee, and Logistics Committee.
This event witnesses the participation of numerous experts in the field of artificial intelligence from the country and abroad, neighboring universities, and representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
A comprehensive file is expected to be prepared to request the establishment of a center for artificial intelligence in the agricultural field at the University of El Oued, which will be submitted to the General Directorate of Scientific Research.
