University President Holds Coordination Meeting to Promote the University’s Visibility and Ranking

On June 6, 2023, the President of the University of Martyr Hamou Laqhdar, Professor Omar Farhati, held a working session on the visibility and ranking of the university’s website. The meeting was attended by the Vice-President for External Relations, Professor Kaddour Habib, the Vice-President for Website Monitoring, Professor Zouheir Tayr, Dr. Bashir Ben Seghir, the Vice-President for Promoting the University’s Visibility, Professor Amar Zaabi, and specialists from among professors and experts, the Head of the Networks and Communication Systems Department, the Head of the Central Website, and the Heads of the Faculties’ Websites and the Sub-Director of Activities.

The University President opened the meeting by emphasizing the importance of improving the university’s visibility and ranking. He called for continuous monitoring of all issues and shortcomings related to the university’s visibility and for the provision and activation of all the possibilities that the University of Martyr Hamou Laqhdar abounds in.

The meeting discussed a number of points related to the university’s visibility in the QS and THE world rankings, as well as the website’s statistics and ways to improve it by preparing several projects that include different work plans for professors and specialists.

The discussion also covered a number of proposals and some technical issues and ways to address them, such as improving the visibility and ranking of the university’s website in terms of presence and openness indicators, and testing the integrity of the content to distinguish and promote its scientific value.

A timeline and a comprehensive work plan were also developed for all committees and the coordination process between them in order to promote the university’s visibility and the global reach of its knowledge and outputs.
