Today, March 14, 2023, the national competition for Master of Ceremonies Competition, organized by the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities at the University of El Oued, concluded with the student Nasser Marwa from the University of Mascara winning first place. Additionally, the student Rahma Kaouane from the University of Setif 2 wining the second position, while Salma Boudiar from the University of El Oued attained the third place.

 

The competition, in its fourth edition, took place at the Grand Hall, Abu Al-Qasim Saadallah, with 10 candidates selected from a total of 181 participants representing 45 university institutions.

 

The aim of the competition is to discover student talents in stage performance to benefit from their talents in various activities. In addition, this type of events help students to reinforcing national souvenirs and maintaining social networking.

 

The cultural event was distinguished by the presence of the University’s Rectors, Professor Omar Ferhati, along with the Vice Rectors, the General Secretary, the Deans of faculties, the president of Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities, members of the judging committee, representatives from civil defense, and university family members including professors and students.

 

During the opening speech to announce the start of the event, the University’s Rector extended his welcome and appreciation to the attendees, expressing gratitude to the General Secretary and the president of Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities for their efforts in ensuring the success of the event. He called for the training, utilization, and development of these talents, and encouraged their future investment in various public speaking performance, wishing success and distinction for this culturally oriented event.

 

On the other hand, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences delivered a welcoming speech to the attendees and all participants in the competition from various university institutions. Dr. Karima Abbad, as a journalist and media representative, expressed her delight at being part of the judging committee and in this event. She praised the organizational level, accuracy, and methodology in organizing the event, providing a top recommendation score about organizing the event at the University of El Oued, wishing success to all participants.

 

The judging committee, chaired by Dr. Fatima Zahra Qaita, included Dr. Saad Mardif, Dr. Karima Abbad, a journalist and media representative from the University of Algiers 2, and Dr. Ahmed Ghribi, a journalist and professor at the University of Algiers 2.

 

The competition committee adopted several meticulous criteria, including vocal performance, stage presence, Enthusiasm, Charisma, Personality, Talent and Overall Performance, before announcing the mentioned results of the top three winners. Additionally, the winners were honored with valuable prizes and gifts from the university.
