8.2.7 “Tracking pay scale for gender equity Measurement or tracking pay scale gender equity”

The University of El Oued is committed to upholding gender equity across all aspects of its operations, including ensuring fairness in pay scales. As part of this commitment, the university has implemented measures to track and evaluate pay equity between genders, aligning with national labour laws and international best practices.

Gender Pay Scale Review and Tracking

During the most recent revisions of the university’s pay scales, comprehensive audits were conducted to ensure that salaries for male and female employees performing work of equal value were aligned. This process included:

  1. Detailed Salary Analysis:
Pay rates were systematically reviewed across departments and job roles to identify and address any discrepancies between genders.
  2. Standardized Pay Grades:
A standardized framework for pay grades ensures consistency in salaries regardless of gender, with clear criteria based on job responsibilities, qualifications, and experience.
  3. Transparent Reporting:
Results from the pay scale reviews are documented and shared internally, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability within the university community.
