Lifelong Learning Access Policy

Policy Statement :

The University of El Oued is committed to fostering a culture of lifelong learning that is inclusive, equitable, and accessible to all members of society. This policy aligns with the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s national framework, as outlined in the “Charte des Éthiques Universitaires.” The university emphasizes adherence to these ethical and operational standards, ensuring that lifelong learning is a pillar of sustainable development in Algeria.

Goals and Objectives

1. Accessibility for All: Guarantee that lifelong learning opportunities are inclusive of all individuals, regardless of ethnicity, religion, disability, immigration status, or gender.

2. Empowerment Through Learning: Provide a platform for individuals to develop personal and professional skills to contribute meaningfully to societal and economic growth.

3. Alignment with National Priorities: Support Algeria’s National Strategy for Education by integrating lifelong learning into the university’s mission.

1. Administrative Oversight:

   • The Rector ensures that lifelong learning policies comply with national and institutional standards.

   • Faculty Deans oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of lifelong learning programs.

2. Stakeholder Collaboration:

   • The university collaborates with national and local institutions, NGOs, and international organizations to extend the reach of lifelong learning opportunities.

3. Compliance with National Codes:

   • Adherence to the ethical principles outlined in the “Charte des Éthiques Universitaires” governs all lifelong learning activities, ensuring respect for human rights, academic integrity, and equal access.
