1.3.3 “Low-income student support Provide support (e.g. food, housing, transportation, legal services) for students from low income families to enable them to complete university “
The University of El Oued is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive academic environment, ensuring that all students, regardless of their financial background, have the opportunity to pursue and complete their education. Through the University Services Directorate, we provide comprehensive support systems aimed at alleviating the financial burdens faced by students from low-income families, as well as supporting our international student community.
Comprehensive Support Measures
- Free Meals: The university offers free meals to all students through on-campus dining facilities, ensuring access to nutritious food throughout their academic journey. This initiative is designed to ease the financial strain on students and their families, allowing them to focus on their studies.
- Transportation Services: Students benefit from free transportation services, connecting them to campus and nearby facilities. This support is especially crucial for students residing in areas with limited transport options, helping them attend classes and participate in university activities without additional financial burden.
- Bursaries for Financial Support:
The university provides financial bursaries to students from low-income families to further assist with academic expenses. These bursaries serve as an essential lifeline for many students, allowing them to concentrate on their studies without the stress of financial constraints.
