Policy Statement

The University of El Oued is committed to sustainable water management practices, including the reuse of water resources. This policy seeks to optimize water reuse across campus operations, research initiatives, and community engagement, adhering to national and international standards while contributing to environmental sustainability.

Goals and Objectives

  1. Promote sustainable and efficient water use across the university.

  2. Minimize water wastage through innovative reuse strategies.

  3. Support environmental sustainability and contribute to national and international climate and water conservation goals.

  4. Advance research and innovation in water treatment and reuse technologies.

Governance, Roles, and Responsibilities

The implementation and monitoring of this policy are overseen by the Directorate of Development, Planning, and Orientation. Responsibilities include:

  • Directorate of Development, Planning, and Orientation: Ensures the alignment of water reuse practices with national strategies and oversees infrastructure planning.

  • Facilities Management: Implements operational aspects of water reuse systems and monitors their effectiveness.

  • Academic and Research Departments: Drive research on water reuse and promote sustainable practices through educational programs.

  • Community Engagement Teams: Foster awareness and collaboration with local stakeholders.

  1. Infrastructure for Water Reuse
