The University of El Oued is deeply committed to extending its educational mission beyond the confines of its campus. Through a range of outreach activities, including tailored lectures, interactive demonstrations, and voluntary student-run initiatives, the university actively engages with local schools and community organizations.
These programs aim to inspire learning, promote knowledge sharing, and address societal needs by bringing academic expertise directly to the community. By fostering strong connections with local stakeholders, the university not only enhances educational access but also reinforces its role as a catalyst for positive change in the region.
The University of El Oued participates in the “Sahil” International Forum for Languages.
The University of El Oued participated in the “Sahil” International Forum for Languages, organized by the “Sahil Association” Language School for Language Education in “Wad-Souf” (El Oued)in coordination with the university and the complex of Golden Gazelle Resort on March 9, 2023. The university was represented by its Vice Rector for External Relations, Professor El-Habib Guedda, who emphasized in his speech that the university is open to its social and cultural surroundings by encouraging and supporting such noble initiatives related to foreign language development and acquisition in Algeria in general and the south in particular by students. He expressed the university’s readiness and the full support of its Rector, Professor Omar Ferhati, for such beneficial events that benefit everyone.
The event was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Languages, Professor Dalal Wechan, and her vice-dean for postgraduate research, Dr. Nasser Dahdah, who delivered a scientific presentation on the topic. Additionally, the head of the English Language Department, Dr. Sahraoui Belkassem, and Dr. Miloudi Monir contributed with valuable presentation in French, along with the presence of the university’s press and publishing officer, Dr. Khalifa Gaïd.
During the opening of the event, the director of the school, Dr. Aouid Khadija, welcomed the forum’s guests, including professors from within and outside the country. The Director of External Relations of the school and the forum’s coordinator, Mr. Nasser Achadli, presented the forum’s topic, its content and future horizan, importance, and objectives, considering the scientific discussion on foreign language learning in Algeria and the south in particular to be of utmost importance, calling on everyone to benefit from the presentations and discussions, which was indeed accomplished.

إحياء ذكرى مجازر 8 مايو: عرض فيلم عن الثورة وإعلان مسابقات رياضية
أطلقت إدارة الأنشطة بإقامة حمّي مسعودة اليوم برنامج إحياء ذكرى مجازر 8 ماي من خلال بث فيلم عن الثورة الجزائرية عبر dtat projetor والإعلان عن مسابقات رياضية متنوعة. وجاءت هذه الفعالية بالتوازي مع الحملة التوعوية حول مكافحة الإدمان على المخدرات داخل فضاء الجامعة من خلال توزيع كتيب حول هذا الموضوع.

Closing Ceremony of Aisha Umm Al-Mu’minin Prayer Hall Program
Witnessed the closing Ceremony of Aisha Umm Al-Mu’minin Prayer Hall Program at the Soufia Bchir University Residence the celebration of 58 female students who memorized the Quran. May Allah bless them.
The ceromony was attended by the Representative of the Director of Services, Mr. Hami Abdelnasser and the staff of the Directorate, in addition to the Director of the Residence and his staff and the Director of the Hadj Saleh University Residence.
Congratulations to our distinguished female students on the achievement that the residence is proud of.
