The University of El Oued and the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Fight against Corruption Organize a National Conference on February 20-21
On February 12, 2023, Professor Omar Ferhati, Rector of the University of El Oued, held a preparatory meeting with the following:
- Professor El Mekki Derraji, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science
- Chaouki Medellel, Secretary General of the University
- Professor Amar Zaâbi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law for Scientific Research
- Dr. Faredj Abdelhamid, Vice President of the Department of Political Science and Scientific Research
- Ghobeche Azzedine, Secretary General of the Faculty
- Dr. Abdallah Reguig, in charge of media and communication at the university
The meeting was held to discuss the preparations for the 21st National Forum on the Role of the High Authority in Promoting Transparency and Ethics in Public Life in Light of the Constitutional Amendment and the Provisions of Law No. 22/08. The forum will be organized on February 20-21, 2023 by the University of El Oued, represented by the Faculty of Law and Political Science, and the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Fight against Corruption.
Professor Ferhati, the honorary president of the conference, reviewed the latest preparations and discussed all the themes and the organization of the conference. He listened to all the explanations and details provided by the organizing committee, represented by Professor El Mekki Drajji, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science and President of the conference.
Professor Ferhati stressed the importance of this scientific event and its objectives, which aim to shed light on the concept of the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention, and Fight against Corruption, and ethics in public life. He also highlighted the national project policy towards the work of the High Authority and its organization. He explained that the conference aims to learn about the measures taken by the Algerian state to prevent corruption.
The national conference will include the participation of prominent figures in law from within the university and other national universities, as well as representatives of the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention, and Fight against Corruption.
