Assessment Meeting of the Director of the University of El Oued on the Ranking and Visibility of the University
On November 14, 2023, Professor Omar Farhati, Director of the University of Chahid Hamma Lakhdar, chaired an assessment meeting on the visibility and ranking of the university’s website. The meeting was attended by the Vice-Rectors for External Relations, Third Cycle Training and Scientific Research, Pedagogy, and the Deans of the Faculties and their Deputies for Post-Graduation, the Sub-Director of Means, and the person in charge of following up the website, Professor Zouheir Tayr, accompanied by Dr. Bachir Ben Seghir and the person in charge of promoting the visibility of the university, Professor Amar Zaabi, and the Head of the Networks and Communication Systems Department and the person in charge of the central website.
The Director of the University opened the meeting by pointing out the need to assess the level of visibility of the university and called on those concerned to solve the existing problems in order to improve the visibility and ranking of the university. Dr. Bachir Ben Seghir presented a report on the recorded observations that require urgent solutions, and Dr. Amar Zaabi presented a report on the collection and statistics of information and translation into English to improve the visibility of the university in the QS and THE world rankings.
Professor Boubaker Mansour also gave a presentation on the preparations underway for the international doctoral conference that the university will organize on December 11-12-13, 2023.
During the meeting, it was decided to form a committee to follow up on the visibility of the university under the supervision of a specialized expert, in addition to holding a meeting to identify those responsible for statistics and data collection at the level of the eight faculties.

- Solve the problems that hinder the visibility of the university.
- Translate information into English to improve the university’s ranking in international rankings.
- Organize an international doctoral conference.

The University of El Oued is committed to improving its visibility and ranking in the world. The assessment meeting was a positive step in this direction. The recommendations of the meeting will be implemented in order to achieve the university’s goals.
