Rector de la Universidad sostiene encuentro con comunidad universitaria sobre Talleres Locales de Modernización del Sector de Educación Superior
On June 5, 2023, a meeting was held in the Abu Al-Qasim Saad Allah Lecture Hall at the University of Shahid Hamma Lakhdar – El Oued – regarding the local workshops for modernizing the higher education and scientific research sector. This meeting, which was chaired by the University President, Professor Omar Farhati, is part of the instructions of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the close participation of all members of the university community, and to put forward all suggestions with the aim of modernizing the sector.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Vice-Chancellors, the Director of University Services, the Secretary-General of the University, the Deans and Deputy Deans of the Faculties, the Heads of Departments, the Secretaries-General of the Faculties, the Heads of Fields, Departments and Specializations, and representatives of the professors and students from unions and organizations.
The University President opened his speech by welcoming the attendees to this important meeting, which is dedicated to reforming and modernizing the higher education sector and summarizing the local sessions with the participation of all members of the university community, with the aim of putting forward and studying all suggestions in preparation for the national sessions.
The Vice-President of the University in charge of Scientific Research, Professor Boubaker Mansour, then gave a detailed presentation of the timetable for the local sessions since their start in April until now. He pointed out that all the decisions were collected and summarized according to the Ministry’s model. Professor Kaddour Kaitoun then gave a presentation of the work of a number of workshops, with the presentation of proposals (workshop on teaching and training, workshop on doctoral training and university research, workshop on new proposals for pedagogical organization, workshop on legal and organizational support, workshop on the visibility and attractiveness of the university and its international outreach).
Dr. Hicham Gharbi then presented the work of the remaining workshops and gave the proposals. The University President then opened the floor for discussion and interventions to review the proposals for the final decision on what they included before submitting them to the National Committee on June 15, 2023. He thanked all the contributors from the university community for their proposals and observations in order to find the appropriate answers to all the questions raised in the higher education and scientific research sector.
