On July 16, 2023, the University of El Oued actively participated in the Cultural and Tourism Exchange Program for Southern Students, organized in the university city of Bejaia. This initiative, conducted under the supervision of the Sub-Directorate for Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities at the University of El Oued, was a week-long event designed to foster cultural and educational engagement among students from southern regions.
The program offered a wide range of training workshops during the morning sessions, covering topics such as:
- Cultural animation
- Theatre and cinema
- Photography
- Memory and mental calculation
- Fine arts, Arabic calligraphy, and decoration
In the afternoons, participants enjoyed guided tours to explore local landmarks, including the stunning Kefrida waterfalls and nearby coastal beaches, blending education with relaxation and cultural immersion.
The delegation from the University of El Oued further contributed to the program by hosting a vibrant cultural evening on Monday, July 17, 2023, featuring interactive activities for all participating delegations. This event underscored the university’s commitment to promoting cultural exchange and sustainable community engagement, aligning with the university’s efforts to meet SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities through inclusive and impactful outreach activities.
This initiative reflects the university’s dedication to extending educational opportunities beyond its campus, fostering knowledge sharing, and enriching the cultural and educational landscape of Algeria.
