Professor Omar Ferhati forms a preparatory committee with the aim of opening a medical annex at the University of Ouargla.
Based on the request of the Rector of the University of El Oued, Professor Omar Ferhati, to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Kamal Beldari, during the National Conference of Universities on January 7, 2023, aiming to open a medical annex at the University of Ouargla, following the presentation made by the rector regarding the availability of all necessary material and human resources at the University of El Oued, which can provide a successful start for the opening of the medical annex in Ouargla.
At that time, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research expressed his preliminary approval, considering this project within the strategy outlined by the ministry.
The Rector of the University then formed a preparatory committee tasked with completing the file for the medical annex, composed of the following individuals:
- Professor Makki Derradji, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, as Chair.
- Professor Abdelwahab Mansour, Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences.
- Dr. Abdelmalek Zaatour, Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences.
The committee began its fieldwork and initiated contacts with public and private entities and all healthcare institutions in the province.
The file will be submitted to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research before January 11, 2023.
