La Universidad de El Oued concluye la Segunda Conferencia Internacional sobre “Materiales, Energía y Medio Ambiente”
On October 24, 2023, the Department of Physics in the Faculty of Exact Sciences at the University of El Oued successfully concluded the Second International Conference on “Materials, Energy and Environment” at the Dr. Abu Al-Qasim Saad Allah Auditorium. The event was graced by prominent figures including the Vice- Rector for External Relations, Professor Guedda Habib, and witnessed a diverse participation from researchers and lecturers representing seven countries: Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia, Slovakia, India, France, Portugal.
The Second International Conference on “Materials, Energy and Environment” also saw the attendance of five scholars who are recognized as being in the top 2% of researchers globally.
Professor Mohamed El Hadi Atia was recently recognized for his ongoing contributions and global impact in the field of science. Acting on behalf of University Rector Professor Omar Ferhati, he was acknowledged for his exceptional scientific accomplishments at an international level. His inclusion in Stanford University’s ranking of the top 2% most eminent and influential scientists globally highlights the significance of his work in scientific research and innovation. This recognition was announced on October 4, 2023.
The conference organizers and university dignitaries were recognized, with the conference director and faculty dean presenting a merit award to the university president for his unwavering support of all researchers and advancement of scientific research. Additionally, the faculty dean was honoured by the university rector for his significant contributions to scientific research development. The conference focused on three main themes – materials, energy, and environment – providing insights into various scientific challenges for students at the University of El Oued as well as researchers from national universities.
