L'Unité de recherche pour le développement des énergies renouvelables dans les régions arides organise une conférence maghrébine
On October 26 and 27, 2021, the Research Unit for Renewable Energy Development in Arid Regions at the University of Shahid Hamma Lakhdar El Oued organized an international conference entitled “The First Maghrebian Conference on Renewable Energy and its Applications”. This conference was the first activity of the unit.
Professor Habib Qaddah, Vice-Rector for External Relations and Cooperation, presided over the opening ceremony on behalf of the Rector of the University. The first day saw a wide participation of attendees from various universities in the country. The second day was dedicated to participants from abroad from various universities and national and foreign institutes. All participants in this conference, from inside and outside the country, were able to follow its proceedings through videoconferencing techniques.
Closing Ceremony:
On October 27, 2021, the Rector of the University presided over the closing ceremony of the First Maghrebian Conference on Renewable Energy and its Applications, organized by the Research Unit for Renewable Energy Development in Arid Regions at the University of Shahid Hamma Lakhdar El Oued. The closing ceremony included a speech by Dr. Mohamed Tayeb Wassouf Khaled, Director of the Research Unit and Chairman of the Conference, in which he expressed his sincere thanks to the Rector of the University for his continuous support of the Research Unit. He also thanked all the participants in the conference from inside and outside the country and concluded his speech by presenting a summary of the papers presented and renewed his thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of the conference.
Afterwards, the Rector of the University and the Director of the Research Unit honored Professor Ben Moussa Hussein for his efforts in making the conference a success and his continuous cooperation with the university. Finally, the Rector of the University took the floor and thanked the Director of the Unit, all those involved in the conference, and all the participants from inside and outside the country. The Rector stressed the importance of renewable energy and the need to direct research towards its development and applications. He also renewed his support for the activities of the Research Unit and its Director. Finally, he announced the official closing of the conference.
Note: All participants were able to follow the closing session via videoconferencing techniques.
Recommandations :
The conference participants made a number of recommendations, including:
- The need to strengthen research and development in the field of renewable energy.
- The importance of promoting the use of renewable energy in the Maghreb region.
- The need for cooperation between Maghreb countries in the field of renewable energy.
The conference was a success, and it is hoped that it will contribute to the development of renewable energy in the Maghreb region.
