The University of El Oued Business Incubator Meets with Business Owners
El Oued University Technology Business Incubator, in coordination with the Technology Support and Innovation Center, organizes a seminar on the topic of trademarks and industrial property rights.
The event was held on February 7, 2023 and was supervised by Mr. Abdelhafid Belmahdi, Director General of the National Institute of Industrial Property, and Mr. Youssef Ziane, Head of the Patents Department. The meeting was also attended by the Director of Industry and a number of economic operators.
The event was opened by Mr. Chouki Medellel, Secretary General of the University, on behalf of the Rector, Professor Omar Ferhati. In his speech, Mr. Medellel welcomed the business owners and stressed that this meeting is part of the university’s openness to its economic and social environment. He also thanked them for attending and wished them success in their work.
Mr. Ferhat Mohamed Fouad, Director of the Business Incubator, presented a presentation on the business owners and organized a technical exhibition on the sidelines of the event.
The Director General of the National Institute of Industrial Property, together with the Head of the Patents Department, gave two presentations on a number of issues that concern economic operators, including the legal and ethical aspects, the concept of patents, industrial property rights and trademarks, and how to protect them legally.
On the occasion, the National Institute of Industrial Property distributed about 100 new trademarks to economic operators, approved by the Institute.
