In alignment with directives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the National Office for University Services, a comprehensive awareness day was organized at the university residence to address the issue of drug addiction. The event, initiated under the guidance of the Director of University Services in El Oued and the Director of the University Residence, Saoudi Bashir, aimed to educate students about the risks of substance abuse and promote preventive health measures.
The awareness campaign featured contributions from the Research Team of the National Gendarmerie Group in El Oued and the Algerian Muslim Scouts, who provided in-depth presentations on combating drug addiction and its social consequences. These interventions were supported by the distribution of brochures designed to inform and empower students on the dangers of substance abuse.
The program culminated with a medical session focused on the health risks associated with drug addiction. This segment provided students with practical insights into the adverse effects of substance abuse on physical and mental health. The interactive format encouraged participation and fostered a deeper understanding among attendees.
