Call for applications for Erasmus+ mobility scholarships at Riga Technical University in Latvia for the academic year 2024-2025
Riga Technical University in Latvia is pleased to inform you that the call for applications for the 2nd semester of the academic year 2024/2025 (Spring semester 27.01.2025 – 22.06.2025) for students wishing to participate in the Erasmus+ mobility program is open until September 30, 2024, at 12:00 PM (noon, strict deadline).
:The number of scholarships available for partner universities in Algeria is as follows
Students: 5 scholarships (1 semester)*
Students can choose and apply only for the specialties offered by RTU. See the following link: RTU Course List for Exchange Studies
Incoming exchange students can choose study subjects from the following RTU units:
Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering *
Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology *
Faculty of Computer Science, Information Technology, and Energy *
Faculty of Engineering Economics and Management *
Institute of Architecture and Design *
Latvian Maritime Academy of Riga Technical University *
:Students eligible to apply are
2nd-year Master’s students*
PhD candidates starting from the 2nd year*
As the number of scholarships mentioned above is intended for all RTU partner universities, the host university will handle the final selection of candidates.
Selection and Ranking Criteria for Erasmus+ Scholarships
I- Selection and Ranking Criteria for PhD Candidates & Students

Incomplete *
With GPA < 6.25 (A: First 10% (*
Where one of the forms is empty *
Where candidates do not belong to the University of El Oued “E.U.” *
Where candidates have applied in a category that does not match their profile *
Where candidates (Bachelor’s and Master’s) have been referred to a disciplinary committee *
Where the “Learning Agreement” has not been duly completed and signed by the Vice-Dean in charge of postgraduate studies *
Where the candidate has benefited from an unused mobility scholarship *
Documents to be provided
Students:
Scan of a passport valid for at least one year *
Enrollment certificate for the current year (original)*
English language certificate minimum B2. (Depending on ILEC) *
Certificate of the host country language if available *
Brief CV in English (maximum 2 pages) *
Motivation letter (in English) *
Master’s
Transcripts of the current year and/or previous years*
Ranking certificate of the previous year*
Certificate of good conduct*
PhD
Work plan signed by the thesis supervisor (in English)*

:The interview*
– During the interview, students enrolled in Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees will be assessed on their motivation as well as their oral English
– Adequacy of the studies of the host university with those of El-Oued
:For students enrolled in a doctorate
– Existence of a host research laboratory at the host university.
– Give priority to students enrolled in the second year of a doctorate.
Selection process:
Nominated students will be notified by the RTU Erasmus+ coordinator to complete the RTU online application*
Candidates will submit all necessary supporting documents on the online application platform*
Conditionally-approved students will be notified and interviewed by RTU*
Successful candidates will be given instructions to prepare their Learning Agreement in cooperation with the home institution’s Erasmus+ coordinator*
Learning Agreement: (duly completed and signed by the candidate as well as the Vice-Dean in charge of graduation for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and*
postgraduate studies for PhD)
